The plan was to throw the player in a setting that was apparently predictable, but only revealed its true colors once a series of challenges starts to unfold. Our job was to bring in as many elements from nature as we could to make the environments impenetrable, while providing Dragy with elements that assist him in his progression. Dragon Saga – is a vertical and horizontal strategy runner game. The uniqueness of this game is in the controls.

DRAGY
(the story)

Once upon a time, by the foothill of a volcano, a world cracked and revealed a secret, thought to have vanished centuries ago. The last of the dragon eggs, brewing in the volcano heat for millennia was laid by the last female of its species, Aagwali (the one with fire). She was also the last of her species to be sacrificed to the volcano worshipped by the ancient tribe of the Shrunk Voodoos. Every thousand years or so, the voodoos would find a dragon, chop its wings off and throw it in the volcano, hoping to escape the fury of the god mountain that cried tears of lava and burnt everything in sight. Moreover, they would prepare the dragon wing stew and consume it hoping to keep finding dragons till the end of the world.

Their centuries old belief has landed them on another prize. This time it’s Dragy’s turn to escape the voodoos since it has been spotted coming out of his first and only home. He is welcomed with spears and traps and all the menace the voodoos could unleash. Dragy is forced to embark on a journey that will hopefully land him on his ESCAPE ROUTE! Dragy the dragon was conceptualized by team BOS after they were done developing characters that ranged from badass trolls to alien roaches. Dragy’s moves are designed in accordance with the environments, which demand from him to perform baseball slides, running through objects, rolling along, climbing ropes, throwing fire balls, moving objects and of course flying.

TUNNELS OF FATE AND HORROR

A cave system designed to help you get lost. Yes, we’ve been conspiring against our players to leave them clueless. Swarming with bats and rocks of jelly, the cave will leave you confused between running and hiding. Watch out for that pitch dark part of the cave where fear becomes your best friend.

FOREST OF MISCHIEF

A jungle with rocky drops, suspended explosives, crumbling landings, spring board and bubbles of joy. It’s colorful enough for a toddler and tricky enough for an adult. Whoever finds the secret passage gets to score and earn and escape.

Under Development

Dragon Saga is fast approaching its completion. The design phase has been completed including the characters, assets, GUIs etc. The development phase is also in its final stages after which it will enter the extensive quality assurance phase. In parallel the work on sounds is also ongoing. It won’t be long before Dragon Saga sees daylight and hits mobile devices the world over.
